I'm heading up to Berryessa on Friday. I was wondering if some of you sniffers could help me with what color hoochie works best? :) Thanks.

The Berryessa special from Kokaneemart.com with a silver prism 4" dodger
Caught 8 of my 14 on it including a 18.5" & a 20+"
55 ft
1.6-1.7 mph

Hope to go Thursday, if not I'll be out on Friday

Hey Bob, Thanks for the info. I bought alot of colors red and white, green and white, do you think they will work up their? I't sounds like silver is the ticket. I'm thinking of heading up their either thursday or Friday with TC Trout in his new crestliner we will be on channel 69. If I don't see you I will be at Eagle at the end of the first week for four exciting day's of fishing. Thanks again;D

I've posted this before, but I just can't pass up an opportunity to post it once again. *Below is a hootchie I made (photoshop) which I call:
"The Hootchie Cootchie"

If memory serves me correctly, Doc is a friend of hers.

I have done pretty well this year on red or pink hoochies at Berryessa for Kings..

on Sunday I caught 4 (slow day) on a white hoochie.

I would try all of the above.

Good luck!

My latest "hot" Berryessa hootchie for King Salmon is the Blue Glow in the Dark. I bought a package of 5 at Guns Fishing and Stuff in Vacaville and I've already had to re-tie 2 of them. I tied them with tandem #4 Gamakatsu hooks and made the leader about 12-inches, then used a 3/0 Blue/Silver dodger. Good luck, I'm still trying to figure out a way to get up there this Friday :-?

Thanks for the info Koke Machine. I will try everything when I get up their on Friday. Hell, I might even put a blue cripplure on the rigger. My plan is to target big fish. :D
