Hi,

I'm just getting into rock fishing and would appreciate any help anyone can provide. I only get to go out a few times a year so if anyone has some gps numbers for a couple of places i can try for rock fish at or near 10 mile beach then it would be much appreciated. This will help a newbie out a graet deal!

Tomales pt. "bird rock" to the start of 10 mile has some rocky bottom, and Pt Reyes is rocky also. *Be careful at pt reyes the lighthouse to chimney rock is a preserve. * There are some reefs out side of 10 mile beach, but they are closed now,"Deeper then 120'." *Your best bet is to go north to ft.ross-Gualala areas. FYI in the afternoon the WIND comes up from the NW. It makes it tough to get back to bodega. if you go north you can "SURF" home.

try elephant rock its *5-6miles south of pt. reyes a mile north of 10 mile beach. 30-50 ft water about 300 yds from the shore. start north and head south coming back ride the swell and hit the swells . you can go 1/2 way from bodega bay anf tomalas bay close to shore thats where i got my rock cod last week no lings tho. i got 19 in 3 hours.
