Got a few days off next week and was thinking about heading up to Shasta to fish.

Never fished the lake this early before.. Suggestions for what part of the lake is best this time of year?

Any recent reports?

thanks!!!!

Hey Fishing Fanatic,
I'm heading up there Sunday night and will be fishing Monday, Tuesday and in the morning on Wednesday before heading home. I am going to be camped at Bailey Cove and will be fishing a few different areas for salmon and trout. I would be more than happy to help you out. I will be in a charcoal grey Alumaweld with the name "Phenomenon". You'll be able to see my yellow lab if you get close. If you have a vhf radio, keep it on ch. 68. Let me know when you are going to be there and what area you will be in. I will be fishing the Dry Creek area mostly but there are some other areas that can be good as well. I know the lake very well so I think I can get you started in the right direction.
Let me know. 8-)

Good Luck up there. I might be trying it in a couple weeks.
