Launched at Deer Creek and got lines in the water at 11:30. Trolled toward the dam to near the bouy line ... nothing. Marked fish at about 60 to 100 feet, very few above 40ft. Almost everything we marked during the trip was similar.

Ran over to troll the mouth of Zebe Creek cove up to the big point before the powerlines. In the area of the big point (mouth of Russian Charley Creek cove), I caught two rainbows and one king salmon. Planters? That was it. All three caught on lead core at about 30 feet with a shand pattern Needlefish behind a rainbow dodger. Also flatlined a Kastmaster, and my partner pulled a Green/silver dodger with a nightcrawler.

Trolled to the P-lines and back for nothing. One pass up Deer Creek. Back at the ramp at 3:45.

Our club is having a trout derby on 3/3 at Pine Flat. Hope it improves!

This lake had been very "tough" fishing for some time now. You may want to try up towards trimmer for your tournament. Most reports are showing fish being caught up in that area, but is still limited. An occasional larger fish has been hooked up that way. Check back on these boards for ideas and locations. There is always one thread on this lake every week.

Thanks for the report and be sure and post your results on your tournament. Especially your first prize winning you will collect.

Thanks for the report, seems like that lake has been a little off this year. Hopefully this lake picks up...keep the reports coming.
