I launched at Capell ramp at 7 this AM. *Man it was cold......20 degrees! [smiley=cold.gif] *I went over to Skiers Canyon and started trolling towards the narrows. *I tried everything in the tackle box and even some new additions to no avail. :( *I was fishing on top and on the downrigger at 5 feet. * I trolled all the way to the power lines at the narrows before the trolling battery finally gave out. * I graphed few fish and the ones I saw were not interested. *I was given some good advice from Rod Bender on Saturday like setback, speed and color so I put them to good use. *I determined that my speed was way too slow *so fired up the outboard and trolled as slow as it would take me. *It looked about 1.5 mph on the Lure Speed. *Between Little Portugese Canyon and Wragg Canyon I finally scored, on the downrigger with a pink wedding ring behind a Sep's Sidekick. *A fat 16 inch *rainbow!! [smiley=bananachaga.gif] *I wasn't able to score any more but the one I caught is on the BBQ as I write this! *The water temp was 49-52 degrees and about 6 foot visability. *Very few boats on the water.

Yes.....it was cold!http://momentoffame.com/photopost/data/501/medium/HPIM0693.JPG

The office.................

Smooth sailing............

The prize..............

Looks like it was a nice day to not be working even if it was cold! Speed troll those spoons and raps at even faster speeds! You'll be in for a suprise! Your boat looks like it would be real easy to use a side planer. I can highly recommed them.

Great job kokoloco. *What size is that Side Kick, and how long is your leader?

The side kicks only come in one size. As fare as the leader 8 to 16 inches. T-ROY

Way to hang in there Sam, your one hard core fisherman. Nice pics of the lake and I like the fish in the ice box with the lure next to it. Did you miss the heater? Looked like a nice day and water is very calm. Thanks for the nice honest report.

Rod Bender; *Heaters are for light weights! ;D *Only my feet and nose were cold. *You'll have to come fish in my boat sometime. *It'll make you appreciate your NR more!
