Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum but not to fishin. *Just thought I'd drop in and let you know that late this afternoon the bite was red hot at RS. *I only went for an hour (4:00-5:00) but unlike usual they were slammin my pole. *I missed 5, lost 2 and landed 2 about 19", these were the big fiesty fightin Amador rainbows, maybe next time I'll remember to bring a net.

Sounds like you were bank fishing. What part of the lake were you fishing? [smiley=angling.gif]

DFG reported a plant this past week at Rancho seco and Folsom. Sounds like it worked.

Sounds like I need to pack the boy and head for the bank. He's been complaining the boat is to cold. The afternoon bite sounds perfect for us. I'll make my run Thursday.

See yaw

Many years ago I used to be a nuclear inspector for the power plant - and remember seeing the "pond" at the site. Never expected that it would be such a hot fishing site in the future - glad to see some use come of this place :)

Went this morning, took the pontoon but it never got wet. The wind never let up never really gusted just strong and steady all day. I started alone at the dock at the south ramp from 7 to 8 with nothing. Me and another guy I have seen out there a few times moved over and fished from the east side pier on the other side of the cove from the south ramp. The dock at the ramp was bouncing up and down and waves were actually topping the dock by then and getting it wet.
Around 9 am he caught a beauty about 20" and fat. Ten minutes later I caught a nice 18" fish.
Both were on Kastmaster, we tried flies, grubs, crawlers with PB and various other lures but the KM was the only success. He used multi color, mine was gold with trout pattern on one side.
May go back for a couple of hours this afternoon to finish the day.
