Got to the lake at 2:30pm and fished til 5:00pm, rig my pole with power bait and casting super douper with the other pole.Within 10 minutes my bait pole was bouncing hard I set the hook and had a big one on and fought for about a minute or so,then SNAP. :'(
This fish must be at leat 6+#. Had six hits and landed 4
Bigest fish about 4#
*two caught on super douper and two on power bait.

Man...& they sure taste good, too. [smiley=chowtime.gif]
We smoked a few of them & brought them to Thanksgiving dinner for appetizers. We were a big hit. Request came in that we do that every year from now on.

Nice fish... Ive never fished Melones either. I agree, definitely could be saving some money. I here its possible to catch some browns in that lake as well. Does anybody have info on that? Really would like to try it sometime soon.

Check out the Glory Hole website, lots of info, links to lots of fish photos. They do pull some big browns out of there. My best was only 4 1/2 Lbs, but it's still my best trout ever. *[smiley=baghead.gif]
