We headed up to Eagle on Friday the 13th after work :-/. *We set up camp and headed out to Pelican point for an evening fish, *well it wasn't unlucky for my wife, 5 minutes after letting our lines out she hooked a 3 pound 11 ouncer :).

Shortly after that she hooked a 3 pounder. *Nice start for our first day. *We managed to get out every day and caught fish. *On Sunday we had the pleasure of meeting Mickey and Cathy along with Gonefishing and his Dad. *Vacaville Bob and his son James were there as well, all arriving after the Pyramidfest that we missed but heard all about it. *The next day, Monday we headed out and it was our day, limited before 9 AM with the biggest being 4 pounds, all caught on orange grubs.

That night Super Dave showed up and we got to meet him and his wife and friend. *Fishing was a little slower as a cold front came through, but we did manage to catch 3 fish. *What a beautiful sunrise that morning.

Fishing contiued to be a little tough, but we managed to put fish in the boat every day and had 2 smoker loads of trout and ate trout every day for lunch. *Even though we missed the Pyramidfest it was great hearing the stories of what we missed and meeting a bunch of great people. *It doesn't get better than that. *P.S. *We re-arranged our Eagle lake vacation next year so we don't miss the Fest next year!!

Great Report and pics Topas_Tom. Hoping for the same type of results mid week. Heading up Wed. morning for a 5 day fishing trip.
Were you trolling right on top or down 3 to 5?

TC, we were down 3-5 feet. I use a small sliding sinker with about a 3 foot leader. Good Luck!! Tom [smiley=angling.gif]

I wish we had that good of luck but at least we didn't freeze when it was 24 degrees in the morning. ;)

Tom it was great to meet you and the wife, I'm sure we will see you up there again
