Hey SS. It's always a little tougher when the wind is up (almost all the time). what did you use for bait/lures?

Did it work?

BTW I was using white power eggs with berkley trout scent.

My buddy fished there yesterday from shore, near the dock at the marina. He caught a 2.8 bow on a brass colored kastmaser. He is new to fishing and also lost one while trying to figure out his new reel.

How is the wind? I know theyre quick to not allow boats out on the water. Im looking to go thursday but dont want to waste 40 mins driving to get denied access to a boat.

I use that website to check the conditions; if it is blowing at my house in Walnut Creek, I know it is blowing over 20 mph out there. They don't let out boats if it blows more than 20 mph (and you probably don't want to fight the wind in their boats anyway). The wind can settle but who wants to wait around.

Lets see some posts from boaters to see how the trolling bite is doing. Nice bows from shore there.

I fished from the bank at Los Vaqueros on Saturday 10/14. *Bank fishing wasn't very good at South Cove. *I did get 2 trout. *People who fished around me only got 1 or 2 trout with one guy getting 3. *Although there weren't many bites, all the trout were at least 2 pounds. *

When I ended my day of fishing I stopped at the marina, a group of guys came in from the boats and I saw they all had good-sized trout. *One guy carried a stringer with what looked like his limit. *Another guy came in with just one on his stringer. *
