Some buddies and I left at 5 a.m. Saturday and the 4 of us made the 3 hour drive to the West Walker. It was their first trip there and definately not their last. The fishing was excellent as usual. The river was way down compared to a month or so ago. You couldn't go wrong drifting salmon eggs. I caught just over 50 rainbows on Saturday all in the 10 to 16 inch range. Saturday night was spent playing Texas Hold'em at the Topaz Lodge Casino and that worked out real well (for some of us) ;). Sunday's fishing was more of the same fishing wise. No big berthas, but a lot of fun with non-stop action. The weather was outstanding and the scenery was beautiful. Good times had by all.

Once your able to get 50 fish a day, you might want to go on to the next level by leaving the bait at home and trying your skill with artificial flies.

Tucker - Ha Ha. *I seem to remember "Tucker the Great Fly Fisherman" resorting to salmon eggs when we were up there in July, or did you convienently forget about that? *Anyways, I need to get a new reel for my fly rod.
