I drove over the Watt Ave bridge yesterday and the water is high. *You could probably fish along the trees in the parking lot ;D *A fly shop I frequent had their board updated today recommending all anglers to tether off to a boulder before wading. *Be careful if you go!

This was a Bay Area shop listing general conditions. You may want to call Kienes, American Flyfishing or Nevada City Anglers.

I'm sure you can find some back eddys to fish but ya know the rivers are not something to mess with right now....IMO.
There are some big fish running up river 'bout now, you can count on that.

Hey John,
How goes it? Haven't heard from you in a while.

Chris I'll try and drive down to Coloma and take some pics today; I'm only about ten min away.
The water is still up into the brush in many places but has cleared substantually over last week when it was a heavy stain to muddy.
It now has a turqoise colored light to med stain and you can see the bottom of the shallower holes.

Seems to be running a bit more stained today but it may just be the overcast making it look that way. Here are a couple of pics taken from the old bridge in Coloma. Looks to be about 4 to 5 ft visibility and the water temp is 47 deg.
Looks fishable to me.

Looks better than the Mokelumne below Commanche. Up over its banks and into the vinyards around Peletier Road. Darn muddy as well.

Hey John,
How goes it? Haven't heard from you in a while. *

I've been pretty busy, looks like a break for next week though. Now if the weather will clear up so I can get on the water I could get rid of this DEPRESSION. ;) :) 8-)

Wow! The river looks better than what I was thinking it should look like, looks fishable to me too.

PS. I did float the boat at Del Valle today for a skunk.... and got rained on!!!! >:(
