I went to Sly to catch some macks, but I ended up catching a 5lb brown! It measured 24". I was surprised because I was down deep, when it came off the down rigger I thought I caught a stick fish no fight at all. I was fishing 30' down in 40' of water. I fooled it with a f-13 brown trout rapala going about 1.5 to 2 mph. Not much action else no rainbows and only one small skinny mack about 14". Quite a few boats on the water but no reports from them. I took a picture with a film camera so I hope it comes out I'll post it tomorrow.

Congrats on the catch. I was going to head up there today, but I spent the 2nd day in a row installing hardwood floors. :(
Not sure what weather is going to end up dong tommorrow morning. Was it a pain to launch with all the other boats? Sometimes Folsom is a nightmare on the weekends at the ramp. >:(
Thats why I fish alot higher elevation lakes during the weekend and fish Folsom during the weekdays. :)
Looking forward to seeing that "stick fish". :P

No, launching is fine they have two docks and I showed up at the right time, and they always plow the road in. By the way launch fees went up today to $13.

Nice Fish!!! That makes up for the other day not getting any. Once again, time on the water pays off.
