I'm interested but have to see what the fiance has planned for that weekend. I can usually sneak away for a day of fishing.

Trusty Sportsman's Warehouse in Reno does. Been thinking about picking up an ice rod for this year. If we go to Caples then I'll be getting one.

Ice Fest sounds great. Only problem is I work onthe weekends now so I'm limited to whatdays I can fish. I have all of the gear and even an Icefishing tent but havent been able to get out for a few years.

How are the conditions? Are we having to dig down quite a few feet to the ice?

Ill be up there one day. Sounds like the fish are biting too. I have an auger that people can use.

I fished at caples and red lakes this weekend only one fish and it was cought by my buddy. A 16"MAC needed my extension on the auger 2-3' of snow. I recomend that you bring snow shoes for the walk out to the fishing ground's slush under snow and about 10 of ice under that if you want to change the date for the ice fest. I am working the weekend of the 5th so it will have to be the weekend after the 11-12th check with your *%!*??? to see if you can get the weekend off. ;D ???

How about at Frenchman or Davis
I would, but I have problems with wardens telling me to turn over all pike that i catch
As far as I'm concerned, it's my catch, I want to take it home, cook it and eat it
I dont particularly feel excited about spending money on gas, motel room, etc, and turn over my catch
Different story if I'm doing catch and release :)
