Two questions: How is the bite doing? Also do you need to reserve the rental boats ahead of time? Thanks.

Marina is closed during the week. Opened only on weekends.

Any idea if the boats rent out quickly?

I don't think it's a problem this time of the year. You should have plenty of boats to rent.

For your info...Because the lake level is so low there are only 4 or 5 usable slips for the renatals so if you don't get there first thing in the morning, you might have to wait a little while for them to go get some more boats from the floating dock anchored further out in the lake.
Also be aware there is only one guy working the boats and store so it might take a while anyway. They have plenty of boats, so show up at 7:00 AM or have some patience. No reservations, and closed during the week.
As for the trout bite...it has been unusually slow, but we finally did have a couple storms pass thru, so the action should be picking up. I'll let you know first hand after Saturday. ;)
(There is always the bass to fall back on if the trout are still slow) ;) ;D

Bass and trout will be the main target, so hopefully one of the 2 is on!

Make sure you have a pack of 4" Senkos in green pumpkin/black flake and you're covered! ;)
Hint...bass're in the rocks. 8)

I'll be banking it near the "Big Island" in the narrows. Stop by and say hi, look for a white cooler with a red top and two guys with bent poles and drag screaming. ;D

DOH!! I was just at Fisherman's warehouse! Guess I'll have to make another trip. I've got some Yamamoto Creatures in green with black flake, but no 4" Senkos.

Duz,
You goin to the bait shop by any chance tomorrow? ;D

They have a couple packs left at the store at D.V. marina. ;)

I thought that hOOkies pic was taken from that area, heheheh!

Try the group camp area too. That's my favorite spot.

The lake is pretty low, but when it was up I fished out that way and had my best day ever at del valle. We were right by where the water was coming in.
