fished the main body of the lake nothing. Whent and joined the zoo at the dam. caught a few. Where are they planting the fish at? Did not see any tubes in the water and they have a big cement block in the middle of the road at the spillway. (planting truck and trailer could not get through). Hope they dont just plant at the dock all year.

The dont plant at the dock....the plant way over by the campground/rv park area. They hook the truck up to a tube thats there and shoot them in.

I have not seen any tubes that are in the water. Are you sure that is where they have planted at this year?

The tube is about 50 feet short of the water.

Not sure if it's the truth or not. However, when we were at Amador on Friday, the lady at the cash register said they planted on Wednesday. She said they dump them right at the dock. She said they normally travel left towards the dam, hang out for several days and then eventually make their way to the rest of the lake.

That's what we were told and based upon where we were catching fish, it proved to be accurate.

Hit dog is right. They dump at the boat ramps until water level get's back to normal. Then they'll begin planting by the campground.

If they wait until the campground pipe is in the water that will not be unitl late December. Maybe they should think about planting at the spillway again. Trolling the main body of the lake will be poor for quite some time. Bank fishing will have to be the game.

Amador is small and has pretty steep sides so it should fill quickly once we get a couple good storms in.
