right now we are using shad patterned excells tipped with a crawler and a shot of shad scent and trolling 50 feet deep at the 49 bridge we took home two limits the wife and i smallest bow was 3 pounds also the main lake around 35 to 60 same setup works well too

Yup right now anything resembling a small shad will be killer, just look for baitballs on your fishfinder. Needlefish, Krocadiles, and especially small silver Yozuri Pinns Minnows & Rebels are also good. You want it silver, and take a Sharpie marker & put dots on the side. Add a teaser worms or eggs & your favorite scent. Footballs. 3-5 lbs. Hit the points & dropoffs. You can't miss if you go at it seriously. This coming week should be epic with the waning moon & falling temps. Ya'all come!

thanks guy's. I just got back this afternoon.we managed a couple at the 49 bridge. They were fat 3.5 pounders full of shad. We were down 30 -40 feet with firetiger needlefish. I also had some shad patterns out but not much luck. I'll keep trying, it's still a great time out there. Thanks again for the help.
