Last week me and brother Bruce “Scoop” decided that we needed a little time away, so we headed north to visit our brother in Oregon. This was also a perfect time to plan an assault on one of the popular brown trout lakes in that area. So we loaded the coach and boat and headed out. We arrived at the lake around 2:00 PM on Saturday, and were greeted by a nice little mini blizzard. Not much to be slowed by a little snow, we launched and started fishing.
The fishing was slow for the first 2 days, but by Monday the weather started cooperating, and so did the fish. By Friday we had a total of 70 browns, 3 bows, 1 Kokanee, and a chub. The biggest we landed was a nice 6 lb hookjaw that Bruce took my money with. We both lost one fish each that we figured VERY BIG, but enough of the ones that got away.
We also met a couple guys up there that we shared some stories and tips with and it was nice talking with them. Rick and John, something tells me our paths will cross again in the future.
On Friday we headed to Sisters to wind down from an exhausting week, and do a little visiting with "Sno Cap" and the "Dawg" before the long drive home. All in all we had a great week and the fishing wasn’t bad either. Here are a few pics of the trip.

Here's Die Hard "Scoop" who caught about 50 of the browns.

I know better than to put money on the line, little bro will take it from me every time (unless we're flyfishing). He may act a little crazy sometimes but he sure can fish! Sounds like a good time...Great pics :)
