What a day. Started fishing from the Caples spillway at 6:15. It was a little cooler than I had planned for in my cutoffs and windbreaker (46 degrees). My first 4 fish where all nice browns (caught before 7:30). Added another 5 planters (Bows) by 9:30. Then the WIND came up. I now, it always does, but these gust had to be 35+… No hits after the 9:30 winds. Headed to Silver at noon, but every things was blown out there as well. Back in Sac, by 2:30. Not sure what’s going on up Hwy 88 this weekend but there must have been 500 motorcycles cruzing past the spillway this morning and the Kirkwood Inn parking lots was full of bikes. I heard the winds will be down tomorrow. If your looking to catch some nice browns, the hot tips is get there real early.

Tight lines….

Street Vibrations in Reno. I think I saw about 100 bikes pulled off the road coming thru Washoe Valley due to the strongest winds i've driven thru out there. Plan on lots of traffic to the Sierras this weekend.
