Anyone fished there recently? Heard they are planting Lower Echo this week. Can you drive there and camp there? Anyshore fishing advice, float tube maybe?
Thanks

Hi Eric, I havent fished Echo, but a friend of mine just went up and had a good day. My bud caught a limit of trout and kokanee and they were very tasty. Camping at Echo is a bit difficult, there is no campground at the lake, but you can hike in and camp, you might call the Forest Service to find out if you can camp right on the lake. My guess is that it is fine, at upper Echo. Your tube will serve you well on upper Echo as well. Upper Echo has nice holdovers. You can also rent small boats to troll. Its a really nice lake and if you get bored there you can also hit the hwy 50 and hwy 88 lakes very easily.

Thanks a lot for the help SierraSkier. Thinking about heading up to Wrights lake instead, heard they're planting there this week. Ideal for my new to camping/fishing girlfriend.
