My buddy Joe and his Grandson and nephew finally got to Loon at 8:00 and we launched around 8:20. None of the kids had ever been fishing before so I put out the 4 lines, 2 with night Crawlers behind Vance's watermelon dodgers, and 2 with Chrome dodgers with jointed minnow imitations. After the first half hour I thought we were in for a long day and got the first 2 bites around 9:00, one on each set up :D by this time we were almost to the girl scout camp cove and that's where the fish were. We trolled through and had a double, turned around and doubled up again, I was just taking the rods out of the rigger and handing them off, as the kids were taking turns. I couldn't believe how much work it was ??? We boated at least a dozen (in that one cove) and kept the ones that wouldn't be released ;)(bleeders). My buddy Joe finally got into it and boated a few, this is good since he brought a one day lic. All the fish were 35-45', the biggest one was about 16" but most were stocker size. The kids didn't mind, we quit at 12:30PM and both kids had limits and big smiles. Total count for the day is a hard thing to figure out, we lost at least 10 at the boat from bad netting :) and we released at least a dozen when I could get back there and do it in the water before the boys netted it. So 20-30 will have to do. I never brought one fish in the boat and had the time of my life ;D ;D ;D
