Well... I used worms with 6 lb test, with a leader of 4lb test, which was about 2'long. And I got 2 of them, and I also got a weird looking trout. It looked like a salmon, but I doubt it was one. And I also got 214 crawdads. The fish were caught on the dam near north winds campground. And for an added bonus, we got visited by 3 bears, all of the nights we were staying there. Sorry for the bad report, I am just very tired.

Hey TT

Thanks for the report. The fish that looked like a Salmon could of been a Kokanee Salmon. They are all silver with a green back and a small mouth...

Take care...

They don't, unless DFG is starting to fool us.

Nope, I was banking it. And also, Mickey, I am posting, you and Chabot have a grudge against some other person, but not me. So please, call ME by MY name, Trout Terminator, or TT. Thank you,

P.S. it didnít have green on its back; maybe it could have been a beaten up rainbow?

TT ,

Are the crawdads you caught the brown ones with the blue/white tip claws or the red ones like we have at lower elevations ? Going to Ice House this next week and some crawdad tails sound like a added bonus . Did you leave a trap out over night and how deep did you set them ?

Thanks , Dan

Dan, Ice house is full of crawdads! In fact it's one of my brown killers in the winter months. You can catch cradads in that lake with a worm. I would just get some dog food and give it a fling about 25-30' out.

I've got this book Recreational Lake in California and it says that there are Kokanee in Ice House. The book is copywrited 1999. I don't know the lake but whats the story on that? Maybe it was a failed stocking?

TT, how did I get mentioned here, ??? No Kok's in Ice House, I'd go with a "beat up Rainbow"
