Just checkin to see if anyone has any luck at the Pond lately? I remember last year they planted trout, but haven't heard anything for this year. I just got my license and have been anxious to catch some trout this year.

Fished it briefly last year while in Walnut Creek for work and family matters. I grew up fishing that pond. It was very cool because in about 5 minutes I caught a small crappie that 100% resembled all the crappie I caught there as a kid. I don;t live in Nor Cal so I have no clue what the stocking plan is but I remember for a fishing derby back in the 70s they planted medium sized stripers in there. It was cool because they planted only a few and every now and then someone would catch one.

Hey Steph. You been to Lafayette reservoir? Its a close alternate for trout, but it costs a little $. It has better trout though.
