Awesome fishes! I was out on the Rockwall today also and managed to hook up on two halibuts on frozen anchovies. Not bad fishing from shore.

Hey congrats on the fish. I launch out of berkeley, and i still dont know where to find the live bait shop over there. can someone tell me in detail where its at? oh, and how many anchovies would be enough for 2 rods for a few hours on the water. thanks.

Reversegut - We used 6 - 8oz torpedo weights tied to a T swivel, about 3' of 25lb flouro for the leader and size 1 live bait hooks.

Eric - The bait receiver is almost straight out from the launch, it's not a big harbor, if nothing else you can cruise around it until you find it. Min you can get is a half scoop for $30 which was enough for us all day.

Hey thanks for the help. unfortunately it didnt pay off for today. But i did find the bait guy and i asked for a pier scoop, and he gave me about 50 live anchovies for 15 bucks. I even tried stoppin him sayin its too much bait, but he didnt listen. no complaints.

Nice job on the butt, Mike! A buddy tried today but he was blown off on his 22' grady. It must have been blown hard for him to turn back.

Yeah, that b-head went out today and he gave me a call at work around 9am to report 3 keepers in the box trolling off the wall.

Forecast doesn't look good for the weekend, but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
