I put this minnow nursery pin together for spawning...minnows will eat their own young. Minnows like laying their eggs in clay pots. The fry can go in the screened area for protection. cool uh?

Man I've been tempted to dig out a minnow pond for striper bait. Those jumbos are sooo pricey.
Are you planning to cover it to keep the birds out?

No the pond is really deep so birds cannot get to the minnows...i do have 5 jumbo's in there right now and they are already chasing each other doing that wild minnow thing...they love it in there. Just make it deep enough to keep coons, birds, cats, FishBuckets, badgers and other creatures.

Step right back and you'll hear a tail, a tail of a faitful trip...

I've got those stupid cormorants that bomb into my pond and they can swim all the way to the bottom. Luckily, they taste like chicken.

A very nice backyard 'Water Feature' accessorized with minnows. The sound of the rushing water will rid you of the headaches I may cause. Edd
