Going up to Tahoe for a few days and was hoping to get some recommendations on where to go fishing in the area? I know the rivers will be high but are they still fishable? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Fish lakes...not streams...you will do much much better.

1. Silver/Red/Capels lake: they are close to each other and all offer great fishing right now from the bank..Fish the eastern shoreline of SIlver (there is a road)...fish WOod Creek inlet at Capels...small hike down from parking lot...fish the rock wall at Red...

2. Icehouse Res off of HWY 50: is going off right now...fish the whole dirt road that takes you down to the creek inlet...(no 4wd needed)

3. If iyou insist on fishing the streams right now: Markleville Creek, East/West Carson River/Silver Creek and the Silver fork of the American are hit and miss.

Worms, PB, lures are all catching fish right now. I like the Berkly GULP Power worms (Brown 2.5 inches) floating 12-18 inches behind some splitshot.
