Does anyone know which lakes in the grouse ridge area are the best for catching some trout. I am thinking about Penner lake because i heard it was good. But i am looking at hidden lake because it is self sustaining brookies. With the yellow legged frog all the info is unrealiable. I dont want to backpack to a barren lake. Thanks everyone.

Nearly all of the lake in that area have not seen a plat for some time. They are very tough fishing, at any and all lakes in the area. However you will still find Brookies here and there in all of them. But I have not caught a bow in any lake in over 5 years, and no goldens in the past 8-10. Just go hike where you like to hike, dont go for the fishing. If you do fish, please C&R, or there wont be ANYTHING in those lakes soon.

EDIT: IMHO, I am all for not stocking those lakes with anything but fingerling bookies and golden's from now on! Bows just ruin every thing.
