:help: Does any body know where they can get pismo clam shells? I use them, along with fresh water clam shells to make some really great salmon wobblers. Abalone shells, are good too, if they don't have parasite holes on the exterior part of the shell. Send me a pm or an E-mail, if you can help. I'd be glad to polish one of the ab shells, and send a few lures in exchange for the shells. The picture below is ove both ab and fresh water clam shell wobblers.

You can find them just walking on the beach. My kids always pick up a bunch and bring home to lay around. I'll take a look around and see if I have any. I'll let you know.

hello! I'm a salmon fisherman in a little town in northern California called Shelter Cove. I have quite a few beautiful abalone shells with no worm damage. I was wondering, are you able to make a salmon trolling lure that is very similar to an Apex (hot spot company) lure?I would love to get you some shells for your help trying to duplicate a 4.5 " copy of this type of lure. They are a staple in the water here for spring/summer salmon fishing..........kind regards,LCS

Just a word of warning the dust off abalonie shells is highly toxic so besure you have all the protective safely gear needed to polish and make fishing lurers. Kent
