There are many standard lies that people shouldn't fall for.

"Your check is in the mail."
"Love you long time."
"I gave at the office."
Perhaps a few more. ::)

I have a new one:

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RENO NV 323 AM PST THU DEC 16 2010
NVZ004-170045- PYRAMID LAKE AT LAKE LEVEL- 323 AM PST THU DEC 16 2010
.TODAY...PARTLY CLOUDY. LIGHT WINDS. HIGHS AROUND 44. WAVE HEIGHTS LESS THAN 1 FOOT.

Jetspray picked me up at the North Minden staging area at 0445 and after a brief stop at McD we headed up to Pyramid. Arrived at Block House 0645 to Temperatures in the mid 20s. Cloudy skies, "light" winds out of the SE at 15 to 30 MPH and 2 foot waves gently lapping on the shore. >:( Also found out that I had broken my rod. Big Dewy joined the fun shortly after 0700. Conditions were near imposable. With the wind directly in your face casting was difficult. Mists off the lake kept ice always on the guides. Hands wouldn't work and eyes teared from the gusts. We fished for several hours with frequent trips to the truck to warm up. Finally we gave up on this spot. Duane headed hope and Dave and I went looking for greener pastures. We checked to the south to find similar conditions. We talked to a shore bound boater at Pelican and watch the waves roll in. We found Spider blown out. We went all the way up to Warrior to find conditions bad as well. We headed back home with zero fish to our credit. It was a a cold, windy, fish less and beautiful day. Thanks for taking me Dave and for the loan of the rod. Nice fishing with you again Duane. Next time.

rich, thats why in the NAVY we called them 'weather guessers'.
i saw dave's entry about a big skunk and i was wondering if
blk hse and the beach were that bad, he didn't mention the
weather. from the weather reports on chnl 8 its goin to be
bad for several days. i would have probably wore my pfd there
at blk hse.
be safe
