Fellow Sportsmen,

I would like to know what you guys do to clean your dogs and keep them free of critters
after you hunt them. I have hunted for quite a while now and for the first time I have encountered an amazing amount of ticks on RANGER (my Yellow Lab). I found some in the
House, crawling on my kids and even one IN my leg!!! MAJOR Heebee Jeebeez!

Help! Thanks, Big Game.

yeah big game I can agree with the creep out feeling about ticks. I use advantage flea and tick on the back of the neck haven't seen but one tick from the fuges and they are out there. now what about us? last year I found a good turkey spot after the drive home go to the shower and pulled 14 ticks off me!! not sure if I'll hunt that spot again, lots of knee deep grass in the late season.

Thanks Guys, I learned a lot. It appears that I should have been treating my
dog with a tick preventative a lot more than I have been. I have been doing
more fishing than hunting in the past few years and have become lax in some
of my preparation.

I appreciate your help.

Big Game.
