I got an invite to go on a Rock & Ling trip since the Salmon bite is slow and jumped all over it. It was a great day to say the least. Limits of Rock came quick and steady on the New Seeker. The capt really put us on the fish from the start. At least half of the fisherman on the boat got a Ling..I would guess at least 8 out of 15 or so.

The water was as calm as I have ever seen it. It was smooth going out, fishing, and coming back in..here are some pics of the trip.

Looks like a fun day on the water. I f you don't mind me asking where did ya all fish, and what bait was in the bucket? Just curious. Thanks for the report.

Wondering the samething. My guess the Islands. The party boats normally stop for sanddabs just south of the Islands and put them in the buckets.

Those look like live anchovies in the bucket.

We picked up 4 scoops of anchovies and also stopped to fish for some sandabs. The sandabs produced the Lings for the most part. The small-medium fish came on the shrimp rigs and the larger fish were being pulled up with the anchovies.

We fished north of the Farallones..
