Toplined Thursday at Tahoe ,from deadman to sand harbor, 8 other Trailors at cave Rock !! 64 degrees and water temp 40 degrees. Almost everyone Hooked up Toplineing !! 20 to 40 feet were the depths of troll. At Least 5 Browns were caught total, 2 pounds to 8 pounds ( includeing a 3 pounder myself) , Rainbows 1 to 3 pounds ( I got one at 1 pound) and Macks 4 to 9 pounds ( I got 2, Macks 6 and 9 Pounds). Tropysticks, and Rapalas were the Prefered lures in pro-cure Trophytrout gel . Deeplined Friday, and Yesterday ( in Howling Winds Yesterday.. cave rock closed and Launched at lake forrest..$ 10.00 launch fee instead of $79.00 at the tahoe Keys !!) 220 to 280 and netted 6 macks in 2 hours deep on dodger and minnow . They ranged from 3 pounds to 8 pounds Friday and Yesterday we got 5 9Lost 3) from 3 pounds to a 34 inch Piggy !! Great Warm, Springtime , Weather right now , except for yesterday's Rain/Wind Storm, ..... yeee ..... loading up the PT-109 this Flat Blue Skied morning for some more Tahoe Action !!! How far are you setting back when toplining and off the downriggers? I don't fish Tahoe, just curious how you guys do it up there. Do you use sideplaners for those toplines?

topline setbacks at tahoe in tight rocky areas are 150 to 200 feet. On straight flat sandy ares you can let out 300 feet or more for lures. When Downrigging deep with dodgers and minnows then use 10 to 30 foot setbacks. gst

Cool, that makes for some good fights on those big trout with 300 feet of line out. Awesome. Beautiful lake and fish. Your reports always make me want to get out there! haha
