Started trolling at around 7. Didn't catch anything until about 10. Landed a 13.5 lb rainbow and two smaller guys. friend had a bow just as big as mine if not bigger get off right at the boat. All in all a great day a chabot. Was trolling a j9 rapala in sunset orange at 10-15ft around half moon bay.

I was at Chabot yesterday too and I heard about your fish. Nice going! We trolled from 8:30-1:30, and 3 of us landed a total of 6 fish, nothing really big though. Beautiful day to be out on the water.

Nice catch! Went out yesterday afternoon and stayed until about 9:30. Caught 3 trout and 2 catfish. Power bait and catfish bait. Spent another hour or so trying to coax some BIG BASS into biting, but nothing going... :-(

see you out there on Sunday... :cheesy:

Thanks guys. Can't wait to go back. Catching a big bass, trout and catfish in a single day would be an awesome day OneTrueBob.

NICE FISH!!! Seems the big'ns are mostly caught on Rapalas... Has that been the case for you?

Just found out I have to work Saturday! DOH! Guess it will be Sunday when I go next...

Have fun!

WOW, That's a Big Trout. Congrats! Too Bad you didn't release it though. It's going to taste much like mushy Cardboard. I have made a promise to myself to not kill any more
Rainbows taken from Bay area Lakes, but that's just me.

Thanks for the Pic. Big Game

If i had a net and it didn't have two trebles lodged in its mouth i would have released it. I usually don't keep fish out of Chabot just because they taste like mud, especially the big ones. I gave it to a friend who baked it in the oven for his whole family. They seemed to really enjoy it, so at least she didn't go to waste.

The couple big fish i caught in Chabot were all on Rapalas and at least 10 feet down.

All I have to say is great fish. There put in there for people to take, and a little brine and smoke, makes anything taste good. Sounds like Chabot is picking up I have to go there and try another spot other than Indian Cove, have been skunked at Chabot the last 6 times I had gone last year.
