I'm a little weird, but here's my list:

1. Channels
2. Carp
3. Man, I can't decide...I love getting lakers from shore, love getting a brownie to eat a big Hex pattern, love getting stripers during ebb on swimbaits in water less than two-feet deep, love getting big ol' suckers on set-rigs, love getting white bass on ANYTHING (to me, they're the strongest fish out there), dig getting two-foot squaws to eat a sculpin pattern, love those pre-spawn crappies running to cover in shallow water in spring, bullheads during night on a new moon...

Oh damn, this is the trout thread, so I guess I should just list trout species:

1. Lakers from shore during ugly, ugly weather
2. Baitfish-feeding trout, mainly 'bows and brownies, in streams during summer
3. Baitfish-feeding trout in lakes/reservoirs in fall - I love watching big brownies corralling baitfish just like stripers cornering shad.
4. Callibaetis-munching trout, again, usually brownies and 'bows. Love getting them still-water fish on emerger patterns.

Oh man, I guess I just described my favorite situations rather than my favorite species. Oh well...guess I need more coffee...

Salmon, Rainbows, Salmon, Rainbows...anything else is usually a consequence of fishing for those. All other fishing is just biding time because I can't fish for the two.
