Hunted a new spot this year so it took me a while to get the flight pattern down but once I did there were some good shoots. Shot 2 limits, (All in the evenings) three evenings with 6-8 birds, and one day with 9. Next year should be good now that I have scouted the entire area. Tonight was the worst shoot of the season with only 3 birds shot. I wasn't out long though but it seemed like the cooler front passing through knocked them down some. Angus had a good time fetching up a lot of birds and watching that is more fun than shooting them. Hope others had a good few weeks as well.

Glad to see you got some squeky wings Hof. Angus looks good. A lot of dogs have trouble with all the feathers on the doves..... He doesn't seem to mind. Thats great. I had a couple of good shoots out in Latrobe. We have a little propoerty out there. To affraid to bring the dog though..... We kill 50 plus rattlers every year. Makes me a little leary. I am going to try and squeeze in a couple more hunts but the salmon are calling and the pheasants are knocking at the back door.... See ya. Steve.

The feathers never bothered him but following directions seems to be an issue of late:hissyfit: I wouldn't take angus where there are that many rattlers either....Scary. The salmon were calling me today to but after 5 hours of bouncing roe and flat fish they didn't seem to want to answer. I'm spending the weekend in Red Bluff with my old man chasing them with no luck. Saw two caught today right behind me and had one nice take down that didn't stick. Back at it in the morning. Now if Salmon could fly and I could set up some decoys.....I'd have me some kings..Good luck on your next trip Steve.
