The nights and mornings have been cold but the afternoons in the Eastern Sierra have been beautiful. After an early lunch I arrived on the shore of Indian Creek Res. The sky was a deep blue with a few high clouds, no winds and a bright sun in the sky. :) Beautiful late fall fishing conditions however from shore to shore the lake was frozen >:( It was this time last year that I had some of my best fishing. Unless a warm front comes in I guess it's Pyramid lake only until Topaz opens. Hope that don't freeze.

Ice Fishing on thin ice? Just sit in a inflatable raft and you will be well cover...

Cool pics - thanks for being our chilly remote!

Do I see rocks on top the ice, that someone tossed out to try to break through; or are they poking out from the bottom?

Has anybody ever done such a thing successfully? Seems like you'd have to toss your line pretty accurately, and the retrieval might be a little d'icy...

Nope just a exploratory attempt to see how thick the ice is, the lake is very close to CC's home in Minden. You can't fish a fudgecicle anyway........Jetspray
