Went fishing with BassJack yesterday. Started fishing at first light. Jack took me to one of his hot spots where we caught six fish. The first fish came within 15 minutes of trolling. Next five fish came about 20 minutes apart. Things slowed down, so we headed to one of my hot spots and finished the day with the last four fish. Six of the fish were hold overs and four were this fall/winter's plants. The hold overs had nice tails and fought hard for their size. The larger fish were all new plants. The last fish was a 7.53 pound football. The hold over meat was a nice pink/red color vs the recent plants which were a yellowish color. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x478/MickDStick/P1010298.jpghttp://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x478/MickDStick/P1010301.jpghttp://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x478/MickDStick/P1010305.jpgCheck out Jack's fish and what he is wearing. http://i1183.photobucket.com/albums/x478/MickDStick/P1010290Medium.jpg

Thanks again for letting me tag along. Glad I was able to net your hog! I think you have the 2012 Camanche record until somebody breaks it.

It sounded like we were doing better than most out there on Tuesday. Slow trolling was the name of the game. We caught everything between 1.3 and 1.6 mph on the GPS. Also Ė donít be afraid to get cozy with the shoreline. We had lots of hits just off the sides of points.

First thing after dawn was great, and then it died until about 12:30 pm. Then more action until 1:30 pm when Mick put the hog in the boat. We had almost no hits between 9:00 am and noon. Kind of a breakfast-lunch-dinner feeding pattern.

I love catching those square-tailed holdovers. They headshake and jump like steelhead!
