With Leon and Dennis staying up here a few days we met up at the Tuttle town ramp and shot the BS for a while :D We talked briefly about where we were going to start and planned on meeting up later in the morning to see what was going on. Steve and I headed for a section of the river to see if we could find some quality fish and to our surprise we found a few that were willing to chew on Rapals and Mag Tackle Spoons . After a couple of hours we decided to see if we could find Leon and Dennis, we scourered the lake and finally found them tucked up by the bridge, talked briefly with them and decided to head over to Carson since the fishing was dismal there, We made our way back in Carson and found Dale beating up on the trout. Here's a pick of the two boats BSing with each other.

Looked like Dale was ready for sasquatch he had his binos and Jack Links ready at the helm ;D ;D
Steve and I did pretty well today we ended the morning with six nice holdovers and I broke off another one. Stupid light line. Steve managed to follow suit with a couple break offs. Heres a few pics of the day on the water.

Hey Kyle thanks for the update an post, always a good one as usual, you an steve should just get a house boat (http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=house+boat) an live on Melones

Heck Don, Kyle lives in Angels Camp, and I'm just up the road. It seems to take longer to launch then drive down here, I know for sure we spent more time at BS'ing in the Tuttletown parking lot then we did driving here.

Had a great time again with Kyle. I got schooled real good, boating only one fish. It was just one of those days ;D ;D ;D

The fish were 17" and up, with Kyles toad at an even 19". It was probably the prettiest rainbow I've ever seen, looked like a King wearing a rainbow jacket!

Talked to new member Schatgun and his buddy Doug (RideN Fish), while trolling. They were pulling Schatguns new homemade Planer boards, and were out in his White North River. I THOUGHT I saw them, as we were heading back towards the 49 bridge. Kyle roared up on them, and I yelled "HEY, you're talking up too much water out here" as they pulled the boards off both sides. Much to my horror, the boat was a Bolton, and it was NOT Schatgun and Doug. ;D
I took their picture anyway

Here is the boat that is NOT Schatguns!

It was fun seeing Yosemite Sam, and Slydog out there, that lunch I left in the truck was some of the best Venison sausage I've ever had. Man, it was good!

Like I said, Kyle put on a clinic, and I had no choice but to watch ;)

At this point, Kyle had caught 4 of these.

We moved, and Kyle picked up that gorgeous 3-4 oz Rainbow. My picture of it is shown above. It was a beauty!

Kyle had Bailey out for a ride.

Kyle's days off are spent fishing, and texting Ironhead

YS and Slydog

Funny, at this point in the day, both captains, Kyle and Yosemite Sam had limits, while Slydog and I only had one apiece. I had to work this afternoon, so we headed in around noon. Seemed all parties involved had roughly the same number of fish, so I can't say it was red hot, but what a picture perfect day to be on the water.

Thanks again Kyle!

What a bunch of beautiful trout, nice going. We were out there today , saw all these boats but really wasn't sure who you were. We ended with only 2 fish, lost a couple. Where can I buy those Mag lures, they seem to work? Also I'm looking for a hand held marine radio, anyone have any ideas, that way I can keep in touch on the water. thanks..Bob

Real good SteveO & Kyle....too bad it wasn't me you tried to sneak up on ....I have a slingshot and bag full of marbles for times like that (LOL)...not really...its for the discourteous wakeboarders and jet skiers (I'm kidding...or am I). Would have loved to hooked with you guys though....You definetly found the quality...
I hollered out over the radio & had Yosemite Sam & Slydog yell back....short conversation due to poor reception but sounded like they had the same kind of day as we did.
Luck Lund I looked for a your boat but no luck....I have a portable Uniden radio I picked up off of ebay....very happy with it and really nice to stay in touch on the water...better than the cell phones and easier to use.

Great to hear everyone had a good day on the water....the weather was incredible....and sound like lots of good fishing. I hope to meet up with all you guys sooner or later out there....Happy Fishing....

Way to go SteveO and Kyle! Love the color of those fish especially the big'un. We didn't get the holdovers but maybe next time. Hysterical about running up on the wrong boat to give us a bad time. Sorry it didn't work out :)

I wouldn't be surprised on Schatgun having marbles and sling shots in the boat. Not one bit. You should see the ruler he hits my knuckles with when I don't scent up a lure! :p

About the marbles, I carry a few (hypothetically of course) in my jacket pocket when I'm on my Harley. If someone is tailgating me threatening my life if they can't stop in time mysterious chips may pop up on the wind shield. Oops did I type that outloud????

Cheers,
