caught this sevengill in the southbay on sat. 7 1/2 footer little guy but bigger than the little 5 footers me and fakefisherman have been catching. were after a true monster 12foot plus. did i mention 20 pound test avet sx shimano trevala jiggin rod. video is on youtube under sevengill. almost THE ONEhttp://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a36/Monkeybomb2000/dom_89_incher_hold04.jpg

I've seen and caught the junior size, but whoa that's a tank! :o
Maybe that's wghat I hooked once leopard fishing and it just kept going and going like an energizer bunny on four redlines.

Hey are you the guys that catch the big soupies? i want a 200lb soup that is a monster 7 good job on the release if you did not to many big ones like that out there they take so long to get that big again nice job love the light tackle

thats a fat one what do you guys think that one weighed i caught couple 6 footers and a 96incher but was know where near as fat only weighed maybe 125lbs there really good to eat best shark i ever ate

i heard theres only few ways to catch some big ones i know live rays smoothhounds and big perch catch them my friend was out by angel island and hooked 3 1/2 thinks its was a seven gill and he said something huge followed it up soo he let it down and hooked into something he was saying he hooked a great white but im sure it was just a big 7 gill and it ran for about 2 miles but the wind picked up soo he stoped and fought it and it spooled him this happened about weekago or alittle more and he said he was sure it was some kind of shark for sure his dad even said so and i can believe him cause he runs a guide service in oregon

Me personally I wouldn't eat any Bay resident sharks but you might want to check out DFG's consumption guide lines. I haven't looked at em for a few years but the last time I did they were listed as having so much stuff in them they ought to be glowing. ;D
I am going to target them soon though but only for sport.
