So blake and I decided to try shadow cliffs again. . We arrived at about 0620, and I was suprised we weren't the first ones there. I was told by a friend of mine to try a different spot than my normal one.

We walked
about a mile to get there and saw someone was in my spot! Luckily, there was another spot about 10 yards down from him. while I was setting up, my neigbour had already caught 2 fish. Blake was closer to the boat launch while I was farther down.

After I set up two rods, i wanted to set up my folding chair. While doing so, I immediately heard two large splashes. Both of my rods had HUGE hits and immediately slapped the water. I picked up both rods to feel the bites, one was hooked and one was just nibbeling. I took the hooked rods, played with this guy for about 5 minutes and landed a nice 18" 3lb rainbow!

The bite later stopped at that location, so i moved down to where this very kind group of men were fishing. They had 3 rods in one area, and one 10" rod set up farther downshore on a long, deep stretch of beach. They let me set up shop just next to them. While I was transferring my tackle, chairs, and ice chest, I left my rod s unattended. Blake happened to be walking to come and help me, and saw my rod get hit hard.

When I come back I see blake using my net, netting my rod. It was a 10"er, and I learned never to let a snake near your rods http://www.imhooked.com/forumsyabb/Templates/Forum/default/grin.gif. Right after that happened, I set up my rods, and the 4 guys went up a ways to check out the dock. While THIS happened, one of the gentlemen's bobber indicator went up, so I reeled in his fish for him. Blake caught one more fish, so we tied today in our fish-off (mine second fish still counted). Overall, GREAT day at the cliffs, the bite really hasnt lessened that much.

Pics to come soon Sorry!
