Met with Jetspray in the Ranchos and headed for Topaz Lake. Arrived shortly after 0700 to try the east shore for the first time this year. The sky was clear, the wind lite with the temps in the low teens and a mist on the lake. We fished for 5 hours using Gulp and worms with only 3 strikes and one small bow to the shore. The ranger said that fishing has been generally slow all over the lake. It wasn't really all that terrible. More of a typical Nevada winter day with poor catching. ;) Thanks for the ride Dave. Next time.

I've only ever driven by there, never fished it. 1 is better then 0, it just nice being out wetting a line!

That about sums it up for me, I did get my second vehicle stamped for the Douglas County Park so the day was not a total loss for me. Two trucks $25 each for the year and I can boat and shore fish from that end for a year till Sept 30th when it closes. It will only get better in a couple of weeks when the weather fronts come in........Jetspray
