Just a quick report from Hensley Lake. We went out there a bit late, 2:30 til 5. The bite was consistent soaking powerbait (any color, green and orange being the best) and worm/powerbait. Missed a few but landed 7, kept 5. Nice day out there.

Greetings Crazyfisher,

Nice looking fish, what size are they? Did you see many boats trolling, or were most people bank fishing? I fished there last year in the spring a did fairly well while trolling bait rigs. It's a nice fishing lake until it warms up, then ya gotta dodge the skiers, and watercraft.....and the fish dive for the bottom, and then its time for the high country!!:animal-smiley-048: Thanks for the report! Best Wishes... mgcrumster

Hey mgcrumster. Between 13-16 inch. Seen a few boats but not sure if they were trolling or bass fishing. I agree with you on about summer fishing at hensley or eastman, however eastman, you can hike back into the no wake zone and fish :)

Last year around Feb/march, we caught pretty good size trout ranging from 18-22 inch. I actually was really surprise when we caught 4 nice one in a day. Went back the next day and got my PB of 22 inch.
