Hey Guys-
Last few days near the river mouth (near boardwalk) have been flocks of birds. They are crashing on bait really close to the shore and literally on the shore. I looked for indications of fish, but did not hook any or see any (boils, swirls etc). I picked up one of these baitfish and it appeared to be a baby bullhead or staghorn sculpin. There were mass amounts of them. They were in the breakers and washing up on the beach, being attacked by birds and seals. Does anyone have any more info about this? Maybe they come down the SL river? Pushed into beach due to recent wind and big swell? Also I have heard stripers like bullheads? If so, im just waiting for the fish.

If I were in the area with time to fish.....I'd camp out on that bait-ball!

I'd net some to toss out as bait, or throw approptiate lures along the edges of that bait-fish-riot.

DAMN! what an opportunity, stripers. salmon, halibut etc. all should be feeding on a school like that.

Too bad the weather is turning UGLY.

I hope you got a chance to work it before it got blown out-
