Arrived at Topaz Lake with Jetspray at 0715. The weather was clear, Calm and very cold with temps in the low to mid teens. We drove down the east shore as far as we could go. The lake is higher than last time. If it gets much higher than some of the east shore may be cut off. There was skim ice on some of the quieter coves. We fished with green Gulp and worms until 1200 but only managed 1 12 inch trout to the shore. The bite was very soft and we each lost several other good bites. I suspect that the water is still too cold for the fish to be hitting well. There were a few boats trolling and I'm unsure how they did. Thanks for taking me fishing Dave. It was nice to get out of the house.
