Didn't know they were that deep. That's a whole lot of rope.

I am intrigued. What does a prawn trap look like? Who are CS members? Bait? Where? I LOVE prawns, and I'd be willing to work for them.

140-200 out side bodega head and off mussel point usually holds good numbers.i think they are tiger prawns, or maybe spotted, whatever they are, there big and tasty!

CS= Coastside. The traps look somewhat like crab pots but with smaller holes in the net. As far as bait goes I don't know. And yes they are tiger prawns.

I read they(CSers) we're using chicken necks for bait and the season is now closed from April 1st to August ??. I tried to find the season in the regs but you know how hard that is *::)

Yeah, what's up with that? Why is it so hard to find info in the regs book? You're right they were talking about using chicken necks.

Wow, catching prawns sounds like my kind of deal! :P

What -- fishing regs that somebody could easily understand???? The folly of it all! Why, then the people who earn a living trying to make them as complicated as possible might lose their jobs. Also, what about those of us who signed up at our local community colleges for classes in RSL? (Regulations as a Second Language.)
