Spent the day at Oyster Point with 65 & Krzy it wasen't 10 mins on the water till 65 had the first fish in the box, then Krzy just had to do better and boated fish #2 we had a long dry spell waiting for the tide to move and while waiting we worked shallow water deep water and most points inbetween.

At noon when the top of the tide hit the bite picked back up and 65& Krzy boated more fish, I couldn't buy a bite but sometimes its that way :P 65 should have had one more fish but was slow on the draw and his hookup came loose, Krzy didn't miss any and all I could muster was a scratched bait.

I'm sure we could have gotten a boat limit but the wind cut our day short.. You can never complain about being one shy of a limit when most boats blanked for the day..Another great trip with good friends and even though I couldn't get hooked up I would do it all over again tommorow ;)...RD

I read somewhere that you can use more than one pole to troll or drift for halibut. I have searched the internet and sniffer.com but I can find anything. Can someone tell me if you can use 2 poles per person.

Thanks,
Hooch

Nice job guys!!!

Tom, if you ever have room & need someone to tag along, just let me know. I would love to get my boat out there but would like to go with someone who knows what they are doing first.

PM me your contact info and I'll get you on the call list.. Friday last week I made almost a dozen calls for the open seat for Saturday.. most of the time its last minute as to where were going and what were fishing for.

That weekend SS was supposed to join us but he had to bail last minute so I started searching and 65 awnsered the call!!!

Most of the time the boats full up but you never know and its always short notice :P but it the best I can do :o

Thanks I will kick you a PM with info.

Even if you need an extra boat. You know, you have more people than room for. I don't mind taking the "beast" down there to learn. I will probably be at the helm anyway :'(.
