First time this year at the lake. Got on the water about 8am. was foggy to start, but no wind so it wasnt bad.

Got set up on a point first thing,
Another Fisherman was already on "my" spot... so I crowded in as much as I could. lol.

First hour and a half or so nothing was happening....tried white eggs, diffrent colors of powerbait..lures.. nothing.

a little bit later the other guy moved over past my right side and I moved over to the left where he was. " My Spot" .

Then about 20 mins into it I got a few small taps for a swing and a miss... about 15 mins later another one.

I finally connected on this one. using my secret weapon the " Double-Cross"

threw back in the 'Double cross' and tried more combos on the other rod, and tossed all kinds of lures. ..Nothing.

Then the Double-cross when off again ! whoo .. on to something now!

Only had a few more swings and misses before cutting out of there about 1pm.

Ya wanna see the Secret " Double-Cross" ?

You suck...

Ok that was just a "back at ya" from my thread. LOL

Great pics and teasers. I like your double cross. It might, and I say "might" get to the popularity of my Wine Cork Indicator (WCI) line. hehe

Cheers,

Is that a new C&R net? How do you like it?

Great pictures!

Thanks for the thread.

That's A good one. I remember fishing Bon Tempe as a kid. Back in the 70s that lake seemed like it was deep in the wilderness. Last time I went there in my 30s I sorta laughed at how close it is to the city yet seems far away. Great report FB.

It's not new, I've had it a couple yrs now. it's about 3 feet long with the rubber net. Not very deep but deep enough. I use it for banking and in the kayak. Made by Frabill
It does CnR well,,, as the fish today can atest.

here's a pics next to my extendable 'koke' net.

How did you ever find out about that lake and that area to fish? You are welcome. Great report. They plant Ralphine tomorrow, allegedly.
