Not sure what to think about moon cycles. Bassboy and I hit Melones on Feb 8 and did real well. Moon was very near full if not full. I think we can not catch fish on any moon cycle. It's fishing :0)

Cheers,

I think a big part of the solar-lunar debate is that it is mixed in both folk lore and actual charting of celestial events. If you will notice on this chart;

http://www.solunarforecast.com/solunarcalendar.aspx (http://www.solunarforecast.com/solunarcalendar.aspx)

the last Full Moon phase was favorable fishing, as is the New Moon phase.

It is a great debate and one that we will discuss continually.

Yes I always look at a celestial calendar when I fish. Not necessarily as dictation, but more as reference for my own fishing log/diary. Yes I try to plan my fishing for the best times possible.

That said, I fish ANYTIME.
LOL

I will fish pre-frontal weather conditions on the "worst" day on the calendar before I will fish post-frontal weather on the "best" day. There are many factors the affect the bite. The solunar calendar is just one variable I consider before heading out.
