does anyone know how to use an airbrush? i'm trying to airbrush some old lures but the paint keep beading. i'm attempting to use acrylic paint. i've tried using acrylic thinner and just water as a thinner but they gave me the same results. any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

p.s. i've washed and sanded down the lures too.

Have you tried a light mist of Kilz primer first?

Contrary to belief, it's ok to see thru the coat of primer, More is not better in this case.

+1 FB. I use a light coat of Kilz from a rattle can before brushing.

I paint with mostly Acrylic. Feel free to ask me any questions. It really all depends on the lure you're re-painting. I've tried re-painting 6 of the new S-Waver for R2S USA and can't get anything to stick on it. It's the release agent that they use that is causing the paint to not stick.

Here's some of my paint jobs from last night.

I freehand majority of my paint jobs. I've ruined more than my share of nice paint schemes using stencils.
