So I accidentally got a fine mist of Bang garlic scent over my entire depth finder screen. I got home and cleaned it off with Plexiss plastic cleaner. It worked pretty good, but kind of left a slight film. My wife decided to try something else. White vinegar with about 30% water. Worked perfect! Clean as a whistle. So just spray a little on the screen or use a cotton ball and wipe off with microfiber cloth.

Good to hear you got the screen all cleaned up, but I don't recommend using a microfiber cloth. Soft cotton balls, pads, or cloths work great but microfiber often leaves 'micro' scratches in the screen. Also with todays MFD's you can use the ammonia based cleaners, but I like to use eyeglasses cleaner I get from the glasses store or Costco.

I bought a box of individually packed computer screen cleaner from Wally World. Cleaned off the salt water drops off the screen great.

The problem with the large "pop-up" sheet tube type container that the sheets inside dries up some in the tube.

BTW Edd, the "How to Clean" links recommends using micro-fiber cloth and my LCX113c HD came with one (?) :embarassed: ...
I'm just saying

There are various types of microfiber cloth. It is safe to use such as you might get from a eyewear store but not safe to use microfiber from harbor freight and others. Some people see 'microfiber' and think all are equal. They are not!
