As posted by Siskiyoufisherman earlier, Jake and I made the trek on Friday to Dunsmuir to check out the Upper Sacramento. Brad, thanks so much for taking us on a guided tour of the best holes on the river! And what a great little town (with a special nod to the Cornerstone Bakery for lunch). Walking the railroad tracks in a town with a big dose of 1950's charm, I felt like I was living a scene from "Stand by Me". And the fishing was off the hook! Here are some of the bigger fish we caught, with the biggest going 4 lbs (we also lost several fish over 3 lbs):
Nice fish for Jake:

Biggest fish of the trip, with Brad, the proud unofficial fishing guide of Dunsmuir:

Brad, I can't say "thank you" enough for your generous hospitality, expertise and local knowledge. Folks, Brad is always encouraging people to come experience the quaint charm of Dunsmuir and catch some nice big Rainbows. I encourage you to take him up on his offer--you won't regret it!
